If you know me well you know that I’m many things. But in my work, I’m a dyer first. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy sewing just as much as any gal, but it’s the dye that excites me. Having my hands in all that color, making it sing, it’s what drives me creatively in my business.
Lucky for me, I also have great customers. Fun, warm-hearted customers who open up to me, support me and cheer me on. I have one such customer that is just as challenging as she is fun (and I mean that in a good way). Sure, she loves her Bu, but loves the look even more. She’s come to me on several occasions for custom dye slots, and that’s where the real fun began.
We started simple with shirts, but she upped the game recently by asking me to dye some woven wraps for her. Not just any wraps of course, but a Didy (my personal fave woven wrap) and a Natibaby Dandelions. What fun! I love these, they were challenging, fun and so gratifying. Creating things that I know will bring joy, that will be cherished and more than that, loved so much they are used each and every day, is why I’m a dyer first.
